Hello Friends!

Thanks for popping by my StampinNScrapin studio today!

Thanksgiving Day is almost here and that almost always mean shopping is soon to be started or I hope for some of you it means its soon to be finished! Either way, the wrapping of the gifts is soon to start and that means you are going to need some gift tags to dress up those great gifts for family and friends.

This year I was invited to participate in a Christmas Tag swap with some of the designers at She’s A Sassy Lady and The BugBytes. These ladies are very talented and I so appreciate their labor of love. To see the video of all their gift tags click HERE.

Fall Pumpkin Table Decor

20120916-220503.jpg

Fall is one of my favorite seasons! I love decorating for it and the color pallet that God put together to go along with the change of seasons and cooler temps.

This little pumpkin is on the new Close To My Heart Artiste Cricut cartridge and was cut at 3 inches. The thing to remember is that you can make it as large or as little as you like using your Cricut! I cut 3 of the pumpkin shapes and glued them all together (back to back) after scoring each one in the middle.

The stem was made from scraps of some birch paper that I rolled and glued in the center of my pumpkin.

The leaves of Fall are on my adore list. These precious leaves and acorn were cut from the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and stamped with the Harvest Happiness My Acrylix CTMH stamp set! Folks creating great home decor or gift projects doesn’t get any easier than this! You cut it on your Cricut and stamp it! All your time is spent designing, picking out papers, inks, embellishments, and adhering it all together.

I used some distress ink and a sponge around all the edges to give it a natural look. Love distress inks and distressing tools. I used Glue Dots to adhere each element on top of my pumpkin. A little twine from my stash and my stamped sentiment and this pumpkin was done!

Just imagine the possibilities with this one cut! Perfect for home decor, for your table decorations for thanksgiving, or your fall dinner parties. You could put each guest name on the little tag, write a reason of thanksgiving on the back and send them home with your guest.
