Simple Elegance – Wedding Shower Banner

Recently one of my co-workers got married and we wanted to celebrate this event with her, so we pulled together a Wedding Shower at work. Everyone chipped in for a nice gift card for the couple to use on what they want or need and we all brought some delicious finger food and of course we had some Key Lime Cake from a local bakery too!

I used the a Pretty Pennants Cricut cartridge and set my blade to 5.5 inches. Instead of spelling out a word or words I went with a simple, but elegant wedding theme. We found out her favorite color and I found this great vellum at Hobby Lobby and used their white textured card stock for the base of each pennant. This cartridge cuts beautifully! I love the detail and so many options.

I cut two of each pennant. This wedding cake pennant is great for weddings and anniversary banners, cards, and scrapbook layouts.

This is the heart pennant. Look at the detail of this cut! Wow! I cut two and I will be adding their initials to each one.

I love this pennant. It is just gorgeous and I can think of many uses for it. I did cut two of these, but will only be using one for this banner.

The wedding bells are so cute! I love this shiny vellum at Hobby Lobby as its perfect for these pennant cuts!

A simple letter to represent the husband and wife to be on each heart.

I decorated the center banner with some wedding rings. I used silver paper from Recollections and gold textured paper from Hobby Lobby. Setting on my Expression were blade 6; pressure Medium; speed high; Multi cut on and cut 2X’s.
