Today I am sharing a Christmas Tag I made that was inspired by one of the Christmas Tags I received in a swap earlier this month. You can see the video of those tags here.
My inspiration tag is from Sheila at She’s A Sassy Lady.
Today’s tutorial is going to be a picture tutorial as both videos I tried to make did not turn out as I am having camera issues. ;/
I started out with a tag from Art Philosophy cut at 5.5″.
I cut the circles for the snowman from Art Philosophy at 3.5″, 3″, and 2.5″. The two larger circles had adhesive added around the edges using the largest 2 Way Glue Pen and adding some Martha Stewart Glitter Tinsel.
I was generous with the glitter tinsel and allowed it time to dry before layering it.
I used some foam tape squares to pop up each layer of my snowman.
This adorable hat is cut from black glitter paper from The Paper Studio that I get at Hobby Lobby. When it goes on sale for 50% off I stock up! I used A Child’s Year cartridge for the hat. It’s cut at 1.75″. I used the hide contour feature.
I used a 1/2 inch circle punch with scraps of the black glitter paper to get the background for his eyes. His nose is cut from Gypsy Wanderings at 1.22″. His hands are cut from the same cartridge at 4.5″.
His scarf is cut from the Winter Woodland cartridge at 1.5″. His mouth is a 1/4″ punch with the glitter paper.
Each of the tags is just a little different. I love using what I have to make these adorable tags for the kids in my family. This is a great ornament too!
Thanks for coming by today!
Update: I did get a video uploaded. I apologize that it cuts off prematurely at the end, but you can see the finished product above! Click http://youtu.be/TtercMSWA4E to see the short video.
