More Scrapbook Expo Duluth GA 2017 Card Swap #2

Today I want to share a few more of my cards that were swapped at Scrapbook Expo Duluth, GA Saturday Card Swap. My next post will have a few of the cards that were being swapped and then the winner card and my personal favorite who was 2nd place I think.

The theme for this swap was embossed. I started with Cuttlebugs 5×7 Happy Birthday embossing folder borrowed from my friend, Edna.

It’s worth purchasing and I plan to do so, because it’s a perfect first layer to any birthday card. It easily makes two backgrounds for an A2 card (4.25″X5.5″). It also has great potential for Scrapbook pages no matter what style of scrap booking you do.

On to my cards! I used ribbon, twine, stamps, die cuts, inks, markers and card stocks from my stash of supplies. I was determined that I was not purchasing anything new to create cards for this swap. Each card is different as I am easily bored making more than 5 of anything.

What I appreciate about these “crazy” stamps is that you can make them for people of all ages, stages of life! They are easily dressed up or down. They are very relatable, as they are illustrated with a wide variety of emotions. They are sure to bring a smile and laughter to who ever they are sent to. The accessories stamp set is gravy and worth every penny you spend on it. It adds more smiles, laughter, and stretches all three stamp sets to almost every holiday, situation, and personalities you and I want to celebrate!

Enjoy and be crafty and send a card to someone this week that you have made.

I am off to put my StampinNScrappin studio back together after a forced need for new floors. It’s been a process, but we are almost done. The studio has new paint, new layout, and yes, new floors! My children have been a great help and I am forever thankful for each of them.

More videos to come in the future and more crafts, cards, and Scrapbook layouts to share soon!

Scrapbook Expo is really fun. They have great vendors and the staff is really great. I encourage you to attend one near you in you thefuturea d participate in a class or two and do the swap.

Blessings!

2017 Scrapbook Expo Duluth Georgia Card Swap

Getting a few cards made for this year Scrapbook Expo Card Swap on Saturday here in Duluth Georgia. Be sure to check out my previous two post for additional cards.

I am enjoying this Darcie’s Fairy Tales stamp set. I am keeping the coloring simple and using a simple color pallet.

The background is Sizzix Paisley embossing folder. This card swap theme is embossing folders or bling. I plan to add a little bling once I get them all done.

The heart shape was cut from Stampin Up! Heart dies using my scrapsof gold paper.

Happy stamping to all!

Scrapbook Expo 2017 Saturday Card Swap Ideas

Back for another card for the Duluth, Georgia Saturday Scrapbook Expo Card Swap. Keeping it simple and will add some bling later once I have them all done.

This is a Darcie’s Fairy Tales stamp set. The stamped images were fussy cut. Really need that ScanNCut!

A Sizzx Paisley embossing folder, a label cut form gold scraps, and the perfect sentiment from MayMay Made It Just Wanted You To Know stamp set.

Stamping is much more satisfying using the Misti. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves to stamp.

Happy stamping!

Scrapbook Expo Card Swap 2017 Duluth GA

This years (2017) Saturday card swap theme is using embossing folders or bling. I had some time in my stampin studio this weekend with the older grands and was able to make three cards for the swap. I decided I need to keep it simple and if I have time I can always add more bling at the last minute.

I have Darcie’s Fairy Tales stamp set that hadn’t been inked from last years Expo shopping so I gave it some ink love using Memento Black ink and my Misti.

Simple coloring with markers, gel pens, and Wink of Stella clear pen. A paisley Sizzix embossing folder ran through my Cuttlebug on Neenah White 110# card stock once. The sentiment is from a MayMay Made It stamp club set. I think it’s called Wanted You To Know but that may not be correct.

Using scraps of gold card stock I cut a label to mount this adorable Unicorn on. I had to fussy cut this stamped image, but maybe a ScanNCut will be in my future soon.

Happy stamping to all! I

I’ll be back with another card soon!

Baby Boy Mini Album ~ Cricut Artiste Cartridge

20120904-180805.jpg

One of the reasons I just adore the new Close To My Heart Cricut Artiste Cartridge are the mini albums that it has! I have made the smaller one first and it went together fast! I used chipboard for the base from my paper packs and a DCWV baby boy paper stack that I have had for a while.

This album is on page 60. I cut it at 3.98 height.

20120904-182004.jpg One of the big advantages to using my Gypsy is that I have this project saved to use over and over again. You get this with Design Studio and the free Cricut Craft Room too!

20120904-182528.jpg

I used an old wood mounted rubber stamp with a die cut that I already had from a previous project for the baby’s stats. Using this wood mounted stamp made me so appreciate my clear stamps! The adorable little baby is cut from the New Arrival Cricut cartridge at 1.5 height.

20120904-183516.jpg

I wanted to keep the pages simple as the focus should aways be the pictures and journaling of the memories. Boys love trucks at some point in their lives so I had to add this old pick up truck from the new arrival cartridge. It was cut at 1.5 height. The 2nd page is matted for a photo and a small baby block metal embellishment from MM.

20120904-184014.jpg

This page has a two sided mini pullout album for additional pictures and journaling. I used a border punch for both ends and tacky tape to adhere it down after it was scored. I like to use this feature for extra pictures and some journaling space.

The little rocking horse is a Jolee’s that I have had forever! It’s neutral in color so it works great with this album.

20120904-184513.jpg
I kept the next page simple with a photo mat and another metal embellishment. I did pop the embellishment up to allow for the photo to go under it as needed.

20120904-185059.jpg
I kept the next two pages simple and was able to use a die cut I had from a previous project. I never throw away cuts I don’t use, I keep them in a drawer on my book shelf. I like using the metal embellishments with ribbon for a more masculine look on my boy or men books and layouts.

20120904-185847.jpg
This is another adorable cut from the New Arrival cartridge cut at 1.5 height. The detail at such a small size is really great! I distressed the edges of the photo mat and inked it using a chocolate ink.

20120904-190444.jpg
This paperstack was great for this project! I love the little feet pattern paper.

20120904-191938.jpg

This is one of my favorite cuts on New Arrival and at 1.5 height I am super impressed with how well it cuts.

20120904-192317.jpg
The final two pages are very simple and once photos are added and maybe some journaling it will be a perfect finish. The tag is on Ariste on page 32. This tag is a great idea for any gift! I love the shape.

Simple All Occasion Cards

20120623-070201.jpg

I like making simple yet elegant cards and I think these cards qualify! Using supplies and scraps I had close to my scrapping island I made these 4 cards very quickly.

I stamped my image about 12 times weeks ago. When I pulled out my scraps I chose colors from my Stamp N Write Markers by Stampin’ Up and colored the 4 images to coordinate with the scraps I decided to use.

I used a Stardust Glitter Pen that I picked up at my LSS to add some bling to the little dresses.
