Quick And EZ Birthday Card

Using the Crazy full-size stamp sets and some simple masking techniques allows for a very quick and easy card.

Ahead of time I have stamped, masked, and die cut card fronts using these Crazy Dogs and cats from Tim Holtz and Stampendous. I color them as I sit nearby while my hubby watches another DIY episode on HGTV. Creating a stash of go to card fronts for an easy card.

The happy is from a MayMayMadeIt Big Time Sayings stamp set. While stamping for a project I go ahead and stamp images or sentiments from the same stamp set using my scraps and then cut them out using my Brother ScanNCut or fussy cutting! I prefer the ScanNCut! I keep these in a small drawer to have on hand. Happy goes on a number of cards so I can stamp birthday or anniversary as needed…

The birthday sentiment is from another MayMayMadeIt stamp set called Brew-Tiful. Be check it out it’s a must have in my opinion.

The stitched dies are from Pink and Main. This is another must have as I can quickly use these to make additional layers for my card fronts using my scraps from other projects. No drawers of unused scraps, when you take a few minutes to use what you have for future craft or card. Craft smart not hard!

This card was put together in under 10 minutes this morning. I added all the layers to a precut and scored A2 card base and stamped the Birthday sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a blessed week!

More Scrapbook Expo Duluth GA 2017 Card Swap #2

Today I want to share a few more of my cards that were swapped at Scrapbook Expo Duluth, GA Saturday Card Swap. My next post will have a few of the cards that were being swapped and then the winner card and my personal favorite who was 2nd place I think.

The theme for this swap was embossed. I started with Cuttlebugs 5×7 Happy Birthday embossing folder borrowed from my friend, Edna.

It’s worth purchasing and I plan to do so, because it’s a perfect first layer to any birthday card. It easily makes two backgrounds for an A2 card (4.25″X5.5″). It also has great potential for Scrapbook pages no matter what style of scrap booking you do.

On to my cards! I used ribbon, twine, stamps, die cuts, inks, markers and card stocks from my stash of supplies. I was determined that I was not purchasing anything new to create cards for this swap. Each card is different as I am easily bored making more than 5 of anything.

What I appreciate about these “crazy” stamps is that you can make them for people of all ages, stages of life! They are easily dressed up or down. They are very relatable, as they are illustrated with a wide variety of emotions. They are sure to bring a smile and laughter to who ever they are sent to. The accessories stamp set is gravy and worth every penny you spend on it. It adds more smiles, laughter, and stretches all three stamp sets to almost every holiday, situation, and personalities you and I want to celebrate!

Enjoy and be crafty and send a card to someone this week that you have made.

I am off to put my StampinNScrappin studio back together after a forced need for new floors. It’s been a process, but we are almost done. The studio has new paint, new layout, and yes, new floors! My children have been a great help and I am forever thankful for each of them.

More videos to come in the future and more crafts, cards, and Scrapbook layouts to share soon!

Scrapbook Expo is really fun. They have great vendors and the staff is really great. I encourage you to attend one near you in you thefuturea d participate in a class or two and do the swap.

Our #1 Transformer – Autobot and Optimus Prime

Hello Crafty Friends!

Merry Christmas Eve! I pray today is filled with great memories, hope, and special times with family and friends.

We are doubly blessed on this day. Not only is it the Eve of our Lord and Saviors birth whom we love, adore, and find our hope and strength in. It’s also the birthday of our Grandson.

Today he is 4! Four years ago he arrived at 33 weeks gestation weighing in at 3 pounds 8 ounces. What a precious gift he is to our family.

Recently he started watching the cartoon, Rescue Bots and is all about Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and all the other Autobots. That is the theme of today’s birthday party and so I made his card accordingly.

I showed you this card earlier this week. I grabbed the image on the internet and used a Silohouette Portrait to trace and cut it. I love how it turned out! Oh so easy to use and I love being able to find what I need and make embellishments for cards and my scrapbook pages.

Here is the inside of my card. Again I used an image from the internet and used the trace feature. I made a few adjustments in the trace feature menu & was ready to cut Optimus Prime! This is the figure my Grandson likes most of all. I cut him in yellow for contrast against the black card stock. This is textured paper from DCWV and I love that it cut so smoothly!

G loves these miniature Rescue Bots and they will top his cake today.

More Silohouette projects to come in the future and some more Cricut ones too!

Merry Christmas to all! I’ll see you here again before the New Year arrives. May His presence be your perfect present this Christmas and all year long!

Autobot Card – My First Silohouette Project

Today I took the time to set up my Silohouette which was not hard or time consuming at all, but I had to make a space for it and that took me a little while.

The excuse for purchasing this new tool was to make a birthday card for our grandson 4th birthday, which is Christmas Eve! It’s one expensive card, lol but there is a two page layout in the makes and a few more projects after that!

I searched bing for recuse bot JPEG and found a few that looked interesting. I play with the studio that came with my machine with the upgrade for free and after watch a few tutorials on you Tube and the disc that comes with it I was ready to cut my files.

Here is a quick picture of the card, which is 4.25X4.25 and very basic. If I can get my HP printer connected to my new Windows 8 laptop I will have the inside finished tomorrow some time and share it later this week!

I am amazed at how easy it is to convert these free files and then cut them for various projects! I waited much to long to get this!

Hope you all have a great Sunday and a very blessed Christmas and holidays!

Easy Gift Bag – Life’s A Beach

Creating gift bags is no different than creating a card. It’s simply a larger area in most cases. I love taking die cuts from my Cricut cartridges to create gift bags that I pick up at $ stores.

A few months ago I designed some birthday cards using the Life’s A Beach Cricut cartridge. I had some cuts left over and wanted to use them for a gift bag. You can see the post for the Life’s A Beach card HERE.

I kept it simple using the same papers and cuts as I did for the cards.

Thanks for stopping by my Stampin N Scrapin studio today. I hope today is blessed and very creative!
