Artbooking Made Easy: Think Outside The Box

Hello Crafty Friends,

Happy Monday! While I am at the office today, I wanted to share another informative and inspiring video from Close To My Heart featuring the Artbooking Cricut Collection.

I hope the video inspired you to look through this great handbook and consider the possibilities for uses of the outstanding overlays, titles, icons, much much more for your future layouts.

As mentioned in this video using the real dial size key you can size your images to fit the size layout that you are working on. I suggest you use the Cricut Craft Room that is FREE or if you have a Gypsy use that to preview what the image will looking on your layout using the layers in both of these applications. This saves you time and money!

Below is a layout using the zebra print overlay that I made several months ago. I used elements from two different themes or suggested uses to create my own unique layout featuring my sweet little grand daughter on her 2nd birthday.

Enjoy your day and plan your next project by browsing the cartridge manuals to see how you can utilize images and features to expand your collections to create gorgeous, creative, and unique layouts or cards!

10×10 Travel Mini – Artbooking Cricut Collection Part 8

Hello Crafty Friends,

I finally made back up to my Stampin N Scrapin Studio this weekend! I’m still congested, but it’s getting better each day.

Today’s layout is a fast and easy one using two banners from the Artbooking Cricut Collection from Close To My Heart. I was looking for the old world feel for this layout and saw the iron gate and owl on the above page of the Artbooking manual.

I added some bling to the gate using the
Black and gray sparkles assortment from Close To My Heart.

I used a small piece of glitter paper behind the owls eyes to make it look like an owl in the evening. He is popped up using dimensional tape.

I added two simple photo mats for a 4X6 photo and a 4×4 photo to complete this layout.

10X10 Travel Mini – Artbooking Cricut Collection Part 7

Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends!

Welcome to my Stampin N Scrapin Studio! Today I am sharing Part 7 of the 10×10 Travel Mini gift album I am making as a gift.

The link to Part 7 video is HERE.

The link to Part 6 is here and you will find all the links for Part 1-5 there as well.

I started with a wonderful overlay from the Artbooking Cricut cartridge.

I used double sided paper and a great advantage to doing so is that I can use the negative images from my overlay on this project and others as I have two options of color/prints! These chevron cuts will be perfect for cards and other layouts!

Next I cut these two adorable photo mats. You can see that I used the hide contour feature to remove the heart shapes from the tabs of these mats.

My title was cut using the gorgeous font on this Artbooking Cricut cartridge. I used the weld feature and then sized my title to fit on the page. Using the Cricut Craft Room which is free or your PC Gypsy is the best way to see what your layout looks like and you can try different sizes before you cut! CCR is very easy to use and it’s FREE on Cricut.com.

I saw this cute little banner while flipping through my manual and liked how it looked on my project on my PC Gypsy.

It does have these adorable little hearts on it, but I used the Hide Contour feature to hide them. I will definitely be using this banner on cards and other layouts as you can add any image or letters to it! This cartridge is so versatile and that is one of the reason I love it.

I will probably come back to this page and add some faux stitching around my frames and my title using a marker.
