2017 Scrapbook Expo Duluth Georgia Card Swap

Getting a few cards made for this year Scrapbook Expo Card Swap on Saturday here in Duluth Georgia. Be sure to check out my previous two post for additional cards.

I am enjoying this Darcie’s Fairy Tales stamp set. I am keeping the coloring simple and using a simple color pallet.

The background is Sizzix Paisley embossing folder. This card swap theme is embossing folders or bling. I plan to add a little bling once I get them all done.

The heart shape was cut from Stampin Up! Heart dies using my scrapsof gold paper.

Happy stamping to all!

Scrapbook Expo 2017 Saturday Card Swap Ideas

Back for another card for the Duluth, Georgia Saturday Scrapbook Expo Card Swap. Keeping it simple and will add some bling later once I have them all done.

This is a Darcie’s Fairy Tales stamp set. The stamped images were fussy cut. Really need that ScanNCut!

A Sizzx Paisley embossing folder, a label cut form gold scraps, and the perfect sentiment from MayMay Made It Just Wanted You To Know stamp set.

Stamping is much more satisfying using the Misti. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves to stamp.

Happy stamping!

Snowman Christmas Tag

Hello Friends,

Today I am sharing a Christmas Tag I made that was inspired by one of the Christmas Tags I received in a swap earlier this month. You can see the video of those tags here.

My inspiration tag is from Sheila at She’s A Sassy Lady.

This is a shaker tag and I adore it!

Today’s tutorial is going to be a picture tutorial as both videos I tried to make did not turn out as I am having camera issues. ;/

I started out with a tag from Art Philosophy cut at 5.5″.

I cut the circles for the snowman from Art Philosophy at 3.5″, 3″, and 2.5″. The two larger circles had adhesive added around the edges using the largest 2 Way Glue Pen and adding some Martha Stewart Glitter Tinsel.

I was generous with the glitter tinsel and allowed it time to dry before layering it.

I used some foam tape squares to pop up each layer of my snowman.

This adorable hat is cut from black glitter paper from The Paper Studio that I get at Hobby Lobby. When it goes on sale for 50% off I stock up! I used A Child’s Year cartridge for the hat. It’s cut at 1.75″. I used the hide contour feature.

20131118-061132.jpg

I used a 1/2 inch circle punch with scraps of the black glitter paper to get the background for his eyes. His nose is cut from Gypsy Wanderings at 1.22″. His hands are cut from the same cartridge at 4.5″.

20131118-061750.jpg

His scarf is cut from the Winter Woodland cartridge at 1.5″. His mouth is a 1/4″ punch with the glitter paper.

Each of the tags is just a little different. I love using what I have to make these adorable tags for the kids in my family. This is a great ornament too!

LIFE IS GOOD Card – Artbooking Cricut and Scraps

Happy Tuesday! Thanks for stopping by my Stampin N Scrapin Studio. I am sharing a square card (4.25″X4.25″ finished) that I made using scraps from the Close To My Heart Artbooking Travel Mini Album I have started. You can see that post (HERE).

20130901-211442.jpg

I started out with a pile of scrap papers. Once I found the inspiration piece for the card (the little banner across the bottom), I knew exactly what I was going to make. I went to my Close To My Heart It’s Your Day stamp set for the sentiments and bicycle. I love using progressive stamping to show movement.

I made a quick video while I was making this card. You can click HERE to watch me make it! I did straighten out the banner off camera.

20130901-211958.jpg

The inside is simple and I love the Jenni Bowlin little lace stamp that I used for the first time. I picked it up at Scrapbook Expo for less than a dollar. I do love the inside sentiment! It’s one to live by in my opinion. Life is just too short and God’s blessings are so wonderful that we cannot allow our yesterday’s or tomorrow’s steal our joy (which is our Spiritual strength) for this day.

Christmas Photo Card Featuring CTMH Artbooking

Hello again my crafty peeps! Today I want to share a super easy and fast Photo Card I made using the Close To My Heart Artbooking Cricut cartridge. You can make this type of card using any photo mat or shape (with a rectangle for the inside) on any cartridge you have.

Cricut Craft Room Real Dial Size 4.25" Welded 2 Photo Mat1 from Artbooking Page 75 Used Hide Contour Feature

Cricut Craft Room Real Dial Size 4.25″ Welded 2 Photo Mat1 from Artbooking Page 75 Used Hide Contour Feature

Lets get started! I used 4.25″ as my height and used Real Dial Size for all three images. Click HERE to what the first video.

Remember that CCR (Cricut Craft Room) automatically sets weld as the default when two objects overlap each other on your mat. Welding is really easy using this free software from Cricut.

Click on CUT in CCR and answer the questions and then set your machine and click LOAD MAT.

Before we can assemble, we need to CUT the card base and the photo mat. Click HERE to watch this quick video to see how easy it is to do. My PC is connected to my Expression using the Cricut data cord and literally its just a few clicks to get it cut.

Now that we have our photo ready to use we’re ready to assemble our card.  Click HERE to watch the final video.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my post and will find some time to play using what you have. This is easily done on your Gypsy if you have one or you can download and use the FREE Cricut Craft Room.

Have a blessed and CRAFTY day!

HALLOWEEN Cards Featuring Artbooking Cricut Collection

Happy Monday! I hope you all are having a great day and are able to get some craft time in!

Thank you for coming by my Stampinnscrapin Studio today! I have a quick video for you today, featuring the Artbooking Cricut Collection. I think people think this cartridge is only for scrap booking or life booking, but its just not the case. So today’s video is to show you how easy it is to make two quick and fun Halloween cards.

20130811-212225.jpg

Let’s jump over to my video to see these two easy cards! Click HERE

We used the Real Dial Size button on the keypad to make out photo mats the actual size we wanted to fit the size of our finished card front.

20130811-212946.jpg

We added some red bling to our skull to give the card the extra pizazz needed for that eerie Halloween feel. My nephews will love it! If you are like me and don’t have a lot of Halloween stamps, this cartridge has exactly what you need for your sentiments already made and ready for you to cut in the exact size you need. I LOVE that about this cartridge!

20130811-213456.jpg

I did have the Moonlight Scrapbooking Kit from last Falls catalog that came with its own stamp set that I just adore. I used the happy hauntings, bugs and hisses, and spider from this set to decorate the inside and the outside of this card.

I’ve had a great time making and sharing these cards with you! If you are interesting in finding out more information or purchasing the Artbooking Cricut Collection click HERE.
