Pinterest Inspired Card With Cricut Maker and Cricut Design Space

A real time video of making two cards for a possible Black and White card swap for Scrapbook Expo 2018. Melody Lane did a live show talking about using Design Space to create from your pins a week or so ago. Thanks Melody for the inspiration to go look at my pins & create!

I think it’s important to see what you learn as you use various products and Cricut Design Soace subscriptions with Cricut Maker or your favorite Cricut.

I use my favorite Art Glitter Glue that you can purchase here. It’s great when you are adhering paper to shapes as it give you time to adjust before its permanent.

While you are getting your art glitter glue Check out MayMay’s stamp sets and stamp club. This Handmade By stamp set is perfect for using on all your handmade cards and crafts. T will be back in stock soon, so be sure to check it out and add it to your wish list so you can get notified when it’s restocked.

Happy Crafting!

Easter – Stained Glass

Easy Easter cards made using MayMayMadeIt Layered Stained Glass stamp set. Go to https://www.maymaymadeit.com/products/layered-stained-glass-clear-4×6-stamp-retail-12-99 to purchase it.

I used my Misti to layer the images perfectly using Three Distress Oxide Ink colors.

A simple paisley embossing folder makes a great textured background to hold our layered stained glass windows.

I used my scraps for everything except the card base. Checkout this stamp set and others at the link above and make a few cards of your own.

See here how I used the Brother ScanNCut to cut these stamped images out.

Blessings!

Quick And EZ Birthday Card

Using the Crazy full-size stamp sets and some simple masking techniques allows for a very quick and easy card.

Ahead of time I have stamped, masked, and die cut card fronts using these Crazy Dogs and cats from Tim Holtz and Stampendous. I color them as I sit nearby while my hubby watches another DIY episode on HGTV. Creating a stash of go to card fronts for an easy card.

The happy is from a MayMayMadeIt Big Time Sayings stamp set. While stamping for a project I go ahead and stamp images or sentiments from the same stamp set using my scraps and then cut them out using my Brother ScanNCut or fussy cutting! I prefer the ScanNCut! I keep these in a small drawer to have on hand. Happy goes on a number of cards so I can stamp birthday or anniversary as needed…

The birthday sentiment is from another MayMayMadeIt stamp set called Brew-Tiful. Be check it out it’s a must have in my opinion.

The stitched dies are from Pink and Main. This is another must have as I can quickly use these to make additional layers for my card fronts using my scraps from other projects. No drawers of unused scraps, when you take a few minutes to use what you have for future craft or card. Craft smart not hard!

This card was put together in under 10 minutes this morning. I added all the layers to a precut and scored A2 card base and stamped the Birthday sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a blessed week!

Masculine Birthday Cards

Happy New Year! Nothing like starting another year to get me in the mode of making more birthday cards.

Masculine cards do not come easy to me. Last year I found these two Darice embossing folders for $0.99 each at Tuesday Morning and they scream masculine so I splurged and added them to my craft supplies. I used Co’ordinations card stock and a sanding block to make tie pattern pop. Super easy and I love the color variation.

A go to stamp set is Crazy Dogs for me. These pups also scream masculine when used with the right papers. The sentiments came from MayMayMadeIt.com on the Sassy Birthday Grouped Sentiments stamp set. The cup cake is an older Close To My Heart stamp set.

I intentionally keep the inside of my masculine cards simple and this sentiment stamp set is great for that.

My ScanNCut makes fussy cutting nonexistent and that makes for quick cards!

On my second card I wanted to use the scrap from the 6X12 Co’ordinations card stock I had left over. I adore this mustache embossing folder. I stamped, scanned and cut my stamped images and this card was done in a few minutes.

Again, I used the Sassy Birthday Grouped Sentiments stamp set from MayMayMadeIt.com on the inside of my card.

The Happy Birthday banner is Close To My Heart.

Thanks for taking a peak at my blog today. I hope you are inspired to make a few cards yourself and share them in the comments.

Blessings!

More Scrapbook Expo Duluth GA 2017 Card Swap #2

Today I want to share a few more of my cards that were swapped at Scrapbook Expo Duluth, GA Saturday Card Swap. My next post will have a few of the cards that were being swapped and then the winner card and my personal favorite who was 2nd place I think.

The theme for this swap was embossed. I started with Cuttlebugs 5×7 Happy Birthday embossing folder borrowed from my friend, Edna.

It’s worth purchasing and I plan to do so, because it’s a perfect first layer to any birthday card. It easily makes two backgrounds for an A2 card (4.25″X5.5″). It also has great potential for Scrapbook pages no matter what style of scrap booking you do.

On to my cards! I used ribbon, twine, stamps, die cuts, inks, markers and card stocks from my stash of supplies. I was determined that I was not purchasing anything new to create cards for this swap. Each card is different as I am easily bored making more than 5 of anything.

What I appreciate about these “crazy” stamps is that you can make them for people of all ages, stages of life! They are easily dressed up or down. They are very relatable, as they are illustrated with a wide variety of emotions. They are sure to bring a smile and laughter to who ever they are sent to. The accessories stamp set is gravy and worth every penny you spend on it. It adds more smiles, laughter, and stretches all three stamp sets to almost every holiday, situation, and personalities you and I want to celebrate!

Enjoy and be crafty and send a card to someone this week that you have made.

I am off to put my StampinNScrappin studio back together after a forced need for new floors. It’s been a process, but we are almost done. The studio has new paint, new layout, and yes, new floors! My children have been a great help and I am forever thankful for each of them.

More videos to come in the future and more crafts, cards, and Scrapbook layouts to share soon!

Scrapbook Expo is really fun. They have great vendors and the staff is really great. I encourage you to attend one near you in you thefuturea d participate in a class or two and do the swap.

Blessings!

Scrapbook Expo Duluth GA 2017 – Saturday Card Swap

This was my first time participating in a card swap at Scrapbook Expo. It was $20 to participate and we came away with a lot of ideas, 15 cards, a goody bag with paper, stamps, and a colored pencil. Also another bag of Basic Grey bling!

There is a theme for the swap and this swap was embossed. I used a Cuttlebug Birthday embossing folder at I borrowed from a friend for all of my backgrounds. My stamps were the Crazy Birds and Dogs from Tim Holtz. This is my favorite of all the cards I made.

What I love about these stamps is that you can use them on printed paper or just on white card stock. I used the accessories stamp set to add a little extra to my cards.

I kept the cards pretty simple using ribbons from my stash, twine, and a few markers and glitter pens.

It’s easy to dress these birds, dogs, and cats up using some ink pads to distress the embossed backgrounds. I spent a few hours embossing my backgrounds and then stamping and cutting my Birds and dogs. After I had all the pieces, assembly was easy and I did a few at a time as I had time.

I have more to share, but will have to show those to you in another post and some of my favorite cards in the swap! Have a blessed day!

2017 Scrapbook Expo Duluth Georgia Card Swap

Getting a few cards made for this year Scrapbook Expo Card Swap on Saturday here in Duluth Georgia. Be sure to check out my previous two post for additional cards.

I am enjoying this Darcie’s Fairy Tales stamp set. I am keeping the coloring simple and using a simple color pallet.

The background is Sizzix Paisley embossing folder. This card swap theme is embossing folders or bling. I plan to add a little bling once I get them all done.

The heart shape was cut from Stampin Up! Heart dies using my scrapsof gold paper.

Happy stamping to all!
